Week 38:

Steam Train, Dream Train VS Pardon Me

Steam Train, Dream Train:

Summary:
The team behind the #1 New York Times bestseller Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site returns with another fabulous book for bedtime! The dream train pulls into the station, and one by one the train cars are loaded: polar bears pack the reefer car with ice cream, elephants fill the tanker cars with paints, tortoises stock the auto rack with race cars, bouncy kangaroos stuff the hopper car with balls. Sweet and silly dreams are guaranteed for any budding train enthusiasts!

Review:
I'm finding that I actually do enjoy rhyming books when they are done well. This book had excellent rhymes. The illustrations were perfect with a fantastic playful style. Next time your child is going to bed, I bet this would be a story they'd like to listen to.

Pardon Me:

Summary:
When a fox comes by, the bird finally loses his cool. But it just so happens that fox showed up for a reason, and the little bird’s outburst leads to a surprise ending you’ll want to read again and again.

Review:
This was a funny story. Super simple. Super fast read. Pretty good, but not much of a story to read since it's so short. It was still funny though, and that counts for a lot.

The Winner:

Congratulations to
Steam Train, Dream Train!

We will see you in November!

We’ll see everyone else next week!
